PAINTER/PRINTMAKER TO GLASS
Kim has been an active member of the arts communities in Texas and Oklahoma for over 35 years. She has attended and conducted numerous workshops and her work has been shown throughout the United States and parts of Western Europe. Originally trained as a printmaker and painter, Kim has slowly shifted the primary focus of her work to fused glass.
ART THAT MAKES YOU LOOK TWICE
Every piece of art, whether a painting or glass sculpture, is filled with nuance and subtlety that will keep you looking. As the light changes throughout the day, you will discover something different every time you take a look!
SUNFLOWERS, CACTUS AND THE OKLAHOMA YEARS
Kim received her Master of Fine Arts Degree in Norman, Oklahoma, following her Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from Texas Tech University. Symbolic elements set in still-life scenarios or in dramatic landscapes reflected her love of life on the High Plains. During this time, she was featured in numerous shows and solo exhibitions, including at the Individual Artists of Oklahoma, Cameron University, Oklahoma City University, and the Oklahoma City Art Museum.
PUBLIC ART
You can see two Wimberley Boots painted by Kim and installed in Wimberley: Jean's Antiques/Full Circle Salon; and at Middleton Brewery. Part of Kim's philosophy is to create and support public art, which will be a long-standing contribution to the community for future generations to enjoy.
